A Call to Artists, Singers, and Dancers
Interested participants invited for choir, dancers, and art invitational
Calling All Arts Students to an Arts Invitational This Invitational is for those interested in drawing, painting, sculpture, dance, poetry, film and/or photography. Entry submissions are to interpret and express any one of the themes of prayer and praise to God, such as humility, repentance, healing, unity, salvation, deliverance, compassion and the cross. The goal is to encourage growth and dedication of young artists to use their talents to honor the One who gave them their talents. The plans are to display entries as part of the Global Day of Prayer program, which will take place on Sunday, May 23rd, 2010, in the Chaifetz Arena on the campus of St. Louis University. Artists are invited to submit entries by e-mail only with their name, age, and phone number. Entries should be submitted by March 31st and should include a paragraph describing the inspiration for and interpretation of the entry. The e-mail address for all entries is seann@studiomontage.com. Entries are to be submitted as a jpeg if under 5 mb. If the entry is over 5 mb, artists can use yousendit.com. Videos should not exceed three minutes.
Calling All Singers to an All Metro Area Choir All Choir and worship team singers are invited to join together with hundreds of singers from churches all across the metro St. Louis area as we form a special choir to sing for the Global Day of Prayer event scheduled for Sunday, May 23, at the new Chaifetz Arena on the campus of Saint Louis University. We have a vision for 300 singers from churches throughout the Bi-State area representing all Christian denominations to join together and make beautiful music leading thousands in worship and prayer on this very special day. Calling All Dancers to Join a Dance Praise Team
The Global Day of Prayer Dance team is a combination of praise dancers from different backgrounds and denominations and from throughout the St. Louis and Illinois Bi-State Region. This year we are excited about planning a Team that will include dancers from ages 3 and up! Our dance includes Praise, Mime, Banners and Flags. This is a time for dancers to come together and praise the Lord at one of the largest prayer gatherings in our Region. The first informational meeting is scheduled for February 17, 2010 at Dove Covenant Christian Center Church at 7 pm.
